About Biblo

Many years ago Lou lived in Spain where there was a quirky little book shop just down the road. Run by a large-buttocked, bleached-blonde ex-pat, it was the perfect place to swap a holiday read for a new author.

You’d take a book in and – sucking her teeth – the beehived-one would say something like "a hundred pesetas, love" and you could apply that offer to the price of another book.

Fabulous idea, no?!

Lou's holidays were thus a languorous stream of King, Tolkein, Cooper, Amis and Archer (to name but a few) and when she moved back to the UK she missed those days terribly.

For over a decade Lou plotted and schemed to recreate those summer months and eventually Biblo was born: books, atmosphere, ambience and (occasionally) glorious sunshine...
